PNAC Exposed
Research for Hugh Scott's forthcoming book, "Liar-in-Chief,' revealed documents and letters published by PNAC prior to 9/11 that show its members promoted United States foreign policy initiatives not permitted by the Constitution, including:
1. Global domination with America's armed forces stationed at
enduring installations around the world including permanent
bases in Iraq, which the Pentagon has never denied.
2. Regime change of governments hostile to U.S interests.
3. First strikes against countries that appear to be a threat.
4. Preventive war.
According to PNAC doctrine, to insure that the United States would be the world's top super power, no other nation would be allowed to reach military parity.
To achieve global domination, PNAC advocated increased defense spending to build an army, air force and navy capable fighting major land wars in two separate theaters, such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, prior to and during the defense rebuilding period (which started in 2001 under Rumsfeld), many PNAC signatories were invested in military-industrial complex companies with lucrative no-bid ("single source") Pentagon contracts, an invention of VP Cheney when he was Secretary of Defense for Bush 41.
Not coincidentally since 2001, the main recipient of the Pentagon's noncompetitive, single-source awards has been Dick Cheney's old company, Halliburton. The Veep benefits from his stock option plan
which creates non-accountable future gains.

Another prime DOD beneficiary is the Carlyle Group, a privately-owned limited partnership firm. Managed by PNAC signatory
Frank Carlucci, Carlyle has received sweetheart Pentagon deals worth billions from the Bush 43 administration.

Frank Carlucci, former
Reagan DOD Secretary
Not surprising to PNAC critics, Dub-ya's daddy, 41st President
George H.W. Bush, is a major Carlyle investor with lucrative
holdings in the neocon-controlled firm.
PNAC advanced its greed-driven, global agenda through the elitist "New World Order" Council of Foreign Relations, rightwing think-tanks, conservative nonprofit foundations, Talk Radio and TV networks, mainly Fox News and C-SPAN.

PNAC's 1997 Statement of Principles contained the following sentence: "The history of the 20th century should have taught us that it is important to shape circumstances before crises emerge, and to meet threats before they become dire."
Even so, despite the warning, PNAC published a 90-page report prior to 9/11 titled, "Rebuilding America's Defenses," that contained just one reference to global terrorism -- a throwaway line which equated terrorists with organized crime.
Nor did PNAC whiz kids Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Cheney and Zalmay Kahililzad anticipate the problem of fighting foreign nsurgencies,
one reason why Iraq became a quagmire.

A security threat PNAC founders never envisioned -- international terrorism -- especially by Cheney and Rumsfeld, too busy targeting Sadam Hussein prior to 9/11.
Other PNAC signatories currently in the Bush 43 Administration
Elliott Abrams, Representative for Middle Eastern Affairs John Bolton, former U.N. Ambassador (special comment below) Seth Cropsey, Director of Voice of America Paula Dobriansky, Undersecretary of State for Global Affairs Bruce Jackson, U.S. Committee on NATO Peter Rodman, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intl. Security Randy Scheunemann, DOD advisor to Secretary Rumsfeld Robert Zoelick, Deputy Secretary of State
John Bolton, Cut & Run Neocon Poster Boy
Bush 43’s belligerent ex-U.N. ambassador is a perfect PNAC example of the spineless and hypocritical nature of neocons.

The Yale Daily News said that although John Bolton supported the Vietnam War, he declined to serve in combat, enlisting instead in the National Guard and attending law school in 1970.
Wrote Bolton in his 25th Ivy League reunion book, “I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy. I considered the war in Vietnam already lost.”
In 2006, Mr. War Critic sang a much different tune. Hiding behind the Stars & Stripes in his Upside Down Neocon Bushworld, he called Democrats who make similar statements about Iraq “cut-and-runners,” verifying the old adage: "It takes a coward to know one."
But that's not the only stain on his self-serving patriotic facade. In the 1980’s, according to the reference website, Wikipedia, Bolton participated in GOP efforts to defeat voter registration campaigns by unions and black organizations.
Two decades later, in July 2002, the Wall Street Journal reported Ambassador Bolton’s “most memorable moment in life” came after the Supreme Court ordered a halt to the 2000 Florida recount.
Clearly elated, he strode into a Tallahassee library where the tally
was still going on and boasted, “I’m with the Bush-Cheney team, and I’m here to stop the vote.” So much for democracy.

The PNAC Conspiracy that Led to Gulf War 2
and an Attempted Rightwing Takeover of America
Three years before the Twin Towers fell, Cheney, Libby, Rumsfeld, Kahililzad, Wolfowitz and President Bush through his brother Jebb, an original PNAC founder, plus numerous other signatories advocated invading Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein.
According to PNAC doctrine published in 2000, the first preemptive war in U.S. history could be justified by exploiting a dramatic "Pearl Harbor-type" event, such as 9/11. Shamefully, the White House Gang did exactly that. Enslaved by their neocon ideology, they made our national tragedy an excuse for attacking Iraq, not a cause.
On September 20, 2001, PNAC proclaimed its imperialistic goal of conquering Iraq with a letter to President Bush, which said in part: "It may be that the Iraqi government provided assistance in some form to the recent attack on the United States. But even if evidence does not link Iraq directly to the attack, any strategy aiming at the eradication of terrorism and its sponsors must include a determined effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power."
Domestically, 9/11 was a flag-waving, bullhorn moment used by George W. in conjunction with the Patriot Act and his notorious signing statements to gain an authoritarian grip on America.
Prior to the Democratic Party's victorious 2006 midterm elections, Bush and his neocon cabal sought total dominion over America's traditional, two-party political system. They wanted (and still do) permanent control of Congress, an enduring GOP White House, conservative Supreme Court, rightwing federal judges, Republican governors and legislatures in all 50 states, and a muzzled press. The way it was in Germany before WWII.
Liberty-loving citizens should not rest easy after the 2006 Democrat takeover of Congress. Although President Bush seemed humbled by the GOP defeat at his first post-election news conference, he
continued to distort the truth about many issues. As the old saw goes, leopards do not change their spots.
12 characteristics of PNAC signatories
1. On average, they are wealthy white Republicans. 2. They are heavily invested in defense-oriented companies and global stock funds.
3. Most PNAC signatories went to Ivy League schools, primarily Harvard and Yale.
4. A large percentage belong to the aristocratic "New World Order" Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) and have diplomatic and/or intelligence backgrounds.
5. Less than 10% of PNAC members served in uniform. Of those, only a handful saw combat, 6. They oppose universal military service enforced by a draft, even during wartime, to reduce protests against conflicts like Iraq.
7. They view the U.S. military as a mercenary force paid to do their bidding.
8. They believe taxes should be cut during wartime, not raised like in all past conflicts, allowing for more war profiteering investments.
9. They will not discuss PNAC or Bush's AWOL National Guard record. 10. They consider Islam an enemy religion. 11. They favor Israel over Palestine in virtually all foreign policy matters.
12. Finally, PNAC members support Israel's rightwing Likud Party and approve of Zionist aggression that exceeds humanistic Hebrew law, such as the barbaric 2006 bombing of Lebanon.
Democrat PNAC Signatories
Number one on the list, both alphabetically and socially, is wealthy globalist and "free" world trade queen, Madeleine Albright, former Clinton Secretary of State.

Other PNAC Democrats include:
Ivo Daalder, Clinton National Security Council member Martin Indyk, Clinton Ambassador to Israel Anthony Lake, Clinton National Security Advisor Will Marshall, founder Democratic Leadership Council Dennis Ross, Clinton Middle East coordinator Charles Schumer, U.S. Senator Stephen Solarz, former Democratic Congressman James Steinberg, Clinton Deputy National Security Advisor James Webb (ex-Republican), Virginia senator (D)
Democrats who signed just one PNAC document, no matter how innocent their motive, made the neocon organization more credible and bolstered its bogus claim of having a “foreign policy agenda neither militarist nor imperialist but one based on a deep respect
for human rights, democracy, and universal moral values.”
The assertion is, of course, pure poppycock. That's the thing about neoconservatives, They can't stand full disclosure because it will destroy them. So they hide behind distortions, deceptions and outright lies.
Hugh Scott's allegations of rightwing GOP extremism are supported by John F. McManus who wrote in 1993, "Neocons have taken over the conservative wing of the Republican Party. And they have succeeded in doing so -- to the degree that the word 'conservative'
is now being applied to individuals and ideas that are, in fact, liberal.”
And who is John McManus? He's a former spokesman and current president of the conservative John Birch Society. His observation should be reason enough for moderate Republicans to rebel against the Bush 43 White House, unless, of course, they enjoy being treated like mindless sheep.
